March 7, 2017 – When a business owner writes to me and asks that I share their dog-friendly business with viewers, this sure means a lot.  Mahalo to Hilo Coffee Mill (HCM) owner Katherine Patton for allowing responsible dog owners and their leashed dogs to enjoy this beautiful location, which can be seen along Volcano Highway when driving from Hilo to Volcanoes National Park.  HCM has lots of grassy areas to walk your dog as well as lots of outdoor seating.  Dogs are welcome anywhere on the 24-acre property any time.  They must remain on leash, especially since there are many cage-free chickens and a cat that roam around the property.  On Saturdays, there is a small farmers’ market with great food, plants, fresh produce, live music, and more!  Market updates can be viewed on their calendar.  As always, please clean up after your dog(s), so that we may continue to enjoy dog-friendly establishments!  Mahalo!
