Traveling with your dog can be a lot of fun until you try finding a hotel that will welcome you and your pooch. To make it a little bit easier, I’ve scoured the island for the most dog-friendly accommodations, and put together this list. Our Dog-Friendly Lodging directory lists those establishments that welcome dogs, along with their detailed pet policies and fees. This is no recycled list of dog-friendly hotels that is so commonplace on the web. Each of these establishments has been individually contacted to inquire about their policies toward dogs, and I have found a few who I haven’t contacted, but their listings clearly state that pets will be considered. In your travels, if you should come upon some dog-friendly establishment not listed here, or one that has changed their policies, please contact me and let me know. I try hard to keep this list updated on a monthly basis, but as you can imagine, these policies tend to change without notice, so be sure to contact the establishment before traveling. ***Please contact the owner or property management company in the listing to book reservations. Prince Waikiki is a pet-friendly hotel and welcomes cats and dogs (there are no size requirements). These procedures are applicable to all areas within the hotel, excluding Restaurants, Pool Deck, Fitness Center, Bars, Banquet Event Areas and the Club Lounge. A one-time sanitation fee of $150 plus tax will be automatically added to the guest portfolio at any time. This fee is to sanitize the room should other future guests be allergic. Any further damages incurred to the room by the pet are the responsibility of the guest/owner which could incur extra costs. These include, but are not limited to:
- Pet is not picked up after
- Pet hair left behind
- Pet smell
Pets must be supervised at all times. Should a pet be left in the room unattended, the pet must be placed in a kennel by the guest/owner. Housekeeping reserves the right to not enter a guest’s room should a pet be in the room unattended or not placed in a kennel. Guest/Owners must always pick up after their pets. Pets must always be on a leash in public places.
